At the Janus Center you and your child are treated with care, attention and respect. If your child is being seen for a study, we work to help them feel comfortable talking to us. We welcome your questions and will discuss with you all your concerns about participating in a study. We also offer pre-study evaluations to help you identify what your condition is if you're not sure.

Health insurance is not necessary for participation and you may be compensated for time and travel if qualified.

ADULTS:

new! Open-label Depression view ad
An open-label (no placebo), long-term (52-week) phase 3 study of the safety of a new medication for adults ages 18-70 with depression.

new! Menopause & Depression view ad
The transition into menopause can be difficult, especially if you’re experiencing symptoms of depression. Women ages 40-70 with peri- or postmenopause and symptoms of depression may qualify for a clinical research study.

new! Treatment-Resistant Depression
Is your current antidepressant medication not working? This study is evaluating the effectiveness of a new investigational medication added to an already approved antidepressant. Both medications are provided at no cost to qualified participants.

new! ADHD view ad
Having trouble staying focused? Do you lose track of time, procrastinate and interrupt others? These are some signs of ADHD in adults. If left untreated, it can create disruptions in relationships and at home and work. Adult ADHD can also impact marriage and parenting behaviors. We are evaluating the effectiveness of Vyvanse™ in adults with ADHD to reduce these symptoms. Participants must be 18-55 years old and have someone (preferably living with the participant) who can also report on the participant’s behavior and symptoms of ADHD. Depression with Pain view ad
You’ve seen the ad on TV about "depression hurting." This study uses the same medication but in an investigational role to measure how much change there is in the level of body pain and aches as well as in the level of depression.

Bipolar Depression view ad
Are you in a depressed mood swing? Sad, blah, uncaring, not interested? Down on yourself? So tired you push to get through your day and then can’t sleep at night? Unhappy and not enjoying the good things in your life? Wanting back your “manic high” or energized mood?

Depression
Is your mood sad, down, “blue” or blah? Are people asking “what’s wrong” or saying “you never smile any more”? Is your energy level low or your sleep poor? Do you feel overwhelmed? Has your interest declined in eating, going out or talking to friends? We have two studies evaluating new investigational medications.

CHILDREN:

Migraine (12-17 years old) view ad
If your child or teen says they have nausea, vomiting or sensitivity to light and sound during a headache, it may be a migraine. The study medication is already approved for adults and this study is determining its effectiveness for children. The study medication does not contain aspirin or caffeine and it is not a narcotic.
